At Dance Arts Conservatory we believe that competing will provide our students with not only a healthy learning experience but also give them multiple performance opportunities. Students will also be able to enhance their performance skills and their technical abilities through competition conventions and master classes.

Students who are selected to audition for the Competition Team have shown strong technique, rapid growth in their dance abilities, work ethic, commitment to themselves and fellow teammates, a strong sense of responsibility, and a true love for dance.

 

Students are evaluated in the classroom during the duration of their technique classes.  If an instructor feels that a student has all of the qualities listed above, they will be invited to audition for the Competition Team.

Since our Competition Team is run at the highest of levels of commitment and technical abilities some of the year round requirements are: ballet class, summer ballet classes, attendance at all regional and national competitions, mandatory attendance, selected conventions, technique classes, competition rehearsals, DAC Summer Intensive.
